Lip Axis Ladle

FMS supply a wide range of heavy-duty motorised pouring units for use in foundries and steelworks.

The pouring unit shown on the accompanying photographs is part of a complete project that also includes for the overhead monorail system and a special transfer unit, to assist with changing the ladle bodies.

The ladle has a lip-axis pouring action to give the ladle spout a constant position relative to the moulding line.

This gives a more consistent pouring action which leads to a better quality casting.
